TRADITION MEETS SUSTAINABILITY
Prakruti Parampara
Speed, Power, Tradition
Feel the earth tremble as 200 pairs of magnificent buffaloes sprint at breathtaking speeds up to 50 km/h, guided by skilled jockeys in an ultimate test of synergy between man and beast.
An 800-Year Legacy
Rooted in the coastal districts of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi, Kambala is more than a sport; it is an agrarian celebration paying homage to the gods for a bountiful harvest.
Historically patronized by local kings, this slush-track race has evolved from a friendly village gathering to a highly competitive and spectacular event.
